Our Story
We are building thoughtful SaaS to empower human beings, wherever they are.
We're on a mission to simplify work
We built Yukta Applications from a simple idea: software should solve real problems for real people.
In 2023, we were five friends from different colleges in Nepal who were studying and working in software and design, and we started talking about how frustrating most work tools were. We felt those tools were old, hard to use, and made things more complicated instead of easier.
We believed that people in Nepal could build better tools, and we believed there was no reason why good software could not come from here. So we began meeting in small rooms and cafes, sharing ideas and building simple apps that worked well and were easy to use. We wanted to make something that helped people get their work done without getting in the way.
What drives us
These core principles guide everything we do, from product development to customer support.
Customer-Centric
We build products that solve real problems for real people. We start every feature by understanding our users' needs.
Thoughtful Design
We believe software should be intuitive and delightful. We obsess over the details to create experiences that feel natural.
Continuous Improvement
We are never satisfied with the status quo. We constantly iterate and improve our products based on feedback and data.
Transparency
We believe in open communication with our team and our customers. We share both our successes and our challenges.
Work-Life Harmony
We believe great work comes from balanced lives. We encourage our team to prioritize well-being alongside ambition.
Global Perspective
We build for users around the world, and we embrace diverse perspectives and needs in our product development.
From idea to impact
The key milestones that have shaped our company over the years.
The Beginning in Biratnagar
In Biratnagar, Nepal, we came together as five friends, Rahul, Abishek, Sirish, Gaurav, and Dip, during our college years. We were in different batches and studied in different places, but we often talked about how our software felt clunky and hard to use. We didn’t have a business plan at the time; we only had a shared interest in building better tools someday.
Starting Yukta Applications
We finally decided to make it official and registered Yukta Applications as a company. With a small space, a few laptops, and many late nights, we began designing and building our first product for schools. Progress was slow but steady, and we stayed focused as a team.
Launching Yedu Academics Management System
After months of building, testing, and fixing things, we released the first version of Yedu Academics Management System. We onboarded a few local schools and colleges in Biratnagar, and their feedback helped us shape the product.

Work that matters, with people who care
We believe great products come from teams that are passionate, diverse, and empowered to do their best work.
At Yukta Applications, we have built a culture rooted in creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning. We are proudly based in Nepal, and we work as a close-knit team from different parts of the country. Even though we are not global yet, we stay tightly connected through regular virtual catch-ups and occasional in-person meetups that keep our spirit strong.
We believe in work-life harmony, not just balance. We enjoy flexible hours, an open vacation policy, and a shared focus on outcomes rather than clocking hours. We trust each other to manage our time and deliver meaningful work that drives us all forward.
Our small but growing workspace in Kathmandu is designed to spark ideas and encourage collaboration, with open desks, quiet corners, and plenty of space for spontaneous conversations over a cup of chiya.
